
Accounts Payable Specialist

For our finance team in Alphen aan den Rijn, we are looking for an: Accounts Payable Specialist.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you perform a variety of full cycle accounts payable activities in a fast-paced, global business environment. The Account Payable department is responsible for the administration, timely payment, and follow-up of all incoming invoices in the largest context possible. The finance team in The Netherlands consist of a Finance Manager, two Accounts Payable Specialists and two Credit and Collections Specialists, collaborating close together with their colleagues in the UK and the US.
Job Summary
Within this position, you are responsible for:
- Processing a high volume of inventory and non-inventory related invoices as well as Intercompany invoices,
- Ensuring invoices are approved, allocated and posted to appropriate cost centers and GL accounts,
- Following up on discrepancies on receipts,
- Following up on discrepancies between invoices and orders,
- Contact with our suppliers for invoices / payments,
- Preparing payments,
- Preparing reports,
- Enter clearance and payment input for expense notes,
- Reconciling ledger accounts as required.
Requirements for success
We are seeking the following skillset for this position:
- A MBO degree or partial in Finance,
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role over the last 1-15 years.
- Good command of Dutch and English (fluent is not necessary), both verbal and written,
- Proficiency in MS Office is a must.
