Duties and Responsibilities

As Manufacturing Operator at Sofis, your main responsibility is to meticulously build, code, and assemble mechanical interlocks and related components following provided specifications.

Building Interlocks: Precisely assemble and construct interlocks according to provided specifications, ensuring all components fit seamlessly and function properly.
Coding Interlocks: Program interlock systems, configuring them to meet the required operational standards and safety guidelines.
Tagging: Accurately tag interlocks, components and completed assemblies for easy identification
Final Assembly: Complete the final assembly of products by combining interlocks and other components to form a fully functional product ready for final inspection
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and good manufacturing practices, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Work experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
The ability to write and speak in English at a professional level.
Detail-oriented with strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
Commitment to quality and safety standards.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Working Conditions

The Manufacturing Operator role will require handling of parts daily and up to 20kg manual lifting.

The working hours are 40 hours per week. Most of the team work 8.75 hours Monday to Thursday (6.30 to 16.00) and 5 hours on Friday (6.45 to 12.00). A few members of the team work 8 hours Monday to Friday (9.00 to17.30). There is flexibility to choose your own working pattern as long as your start time is between 6.30 and 9.00 and your finish time is between 16.00 and 17.30, Monday to Friday, and you work 40 hours per week in total.
